Keri Hilson Mentions Beyoncé For the First Time in Years
It seems as if singer/actress, Keri Hilson, is not longer hiding from the Beyhive! Hilson, is honing one of her many talents as a children’s activist for arts programs in public schools. Yesterday (June 12th), she met with the Dekalb County School System in her hometown of Atlanta, Georgia to discuss the arts and her foundation, the Keri Hilson Foundation. She posted about the experience on her Instagram story:
While she was there, she witnessed and spoke with Drumline Live, which just happens to be the band that performed with Beyonce during this year’s Coachella set.
Shockingly, Keri even mentioned the fact that Drumline Live worked with Beyonce. She commented:
YES, they’re the band who SLAYED at #Beychella!!!
That mention may seem mundane, but considering the history between the singers, this is a stepping stone toward the ending of a nearly decade old, seemingly one-sided riff. Since our introduction to Hilson in early 2009, the media reportedly instigated a feud between Keri and Beyonce. Earlier this year, she discussed how the backlash she received from the media and the “Beyhive”, triggered a depression. She’s taken a hiatus from music to overcome her depression.
Could the Instagram post be Keri’s way of extending an olive branch to Beyonce?
