Issa Rae Denies She’s Pregnant

Issa Rae says she is NOT expecting! The 34-year-old actress addressed this speculation on Twitter. A social media user wrote,

Since we gotta wait 2 years for #Insecure cause @IssaRae all booked, busy n pregnant, I know this aint bout to be about no 8, 30 minute episodes @hbo?!

To this, Issa responded

… I didn’t suck my stomach in for ONE press pic and y’all impregnated me. Wowwwwwww.

The initial comment was triggered by reports that Insecure would not air again until 2020. [Click here for details].

While Issa isn’t pregnant, it does appear that she’s walking down the aisle soon. The initial engagement speculation began with a clip of her wearing a massive ring, followed by social media posts wearing the ring.

After weeks of speculation, her brother seemingly confirmed the news.

During a recent interview, her brother, rapper/actor Lamine “Enimal” Diop dished how he feels about his soon-to-be brother-in-law stating,

He’s just a good guy, man. He’s just a cool guy. They’ve been dating forever.

He continued,

He’s already been like a brother to me. Family ties at all the family events and dinners, Christmas, Thanksgiving.

Little did we know, Issa and Louis have been engaged since Christmastime! Lamine continued:

“They did it around the holidays. She’s so low-key too — for real! I found out, like, a couple days later, so we’re just gonna let her lead the way.”

Her HBO co-star, Yvonne Orji, confirmed the engagement with this statement:

“We’re very excited for her…The reaction was all the same, like, ‘You out here in these streets getting married, boo!?’ That was the reaction.”

Her family and friends’ are gushing about the news, but Issa yet to officially announce that she’s off the market, herself! She posted this subliminal Instagram Story, instead:
