Miley Cyrus Claps Back At Critics After She’s Seen Kissing Singer Cody Simpson ‘Men Are RARELY’ Slut Shamed!’

Miley Cyrus is sharing her peace after she received lots of backlash for her latest makeout session.

The singer was spotted locking lips with Australian singer Cody Simpson Friday (Oct. 4), just weeks after her split from husband Liam Hemsworth.

She took to social media later that day, to basically tell her critics to mind their business.

“I know the public feels invested in my past relationship because they felt like they saw it thru from the beginning…. I think that’s why people have always felt so entitled over my life and how I live it because they’ve watched me grow up… but I am grown now and make choices as an adult knowing the truth/details/reality. People only ‘know’ what they see on the internet.”

She added that there’s a double standard when it comes to the backlash women receive over their dating life, and the criticism men experience.

“Men (especially successful ones) are RARELY slut shamed. They move on from one beautiful young woman to the next MOST times without consequence. They are usually referenced as ‘legends’, ‘heart throbs’ , ‘G’, ‘Ladies Man’ etc…. where women are called sluts/wh*res! I am trying to just THRIVE/survive in a ‘mans’ world…. if we can’t beat em, join em! If our president can ‘grab em by the p***y’ can’t I just have a kiss and a acai bowl?!?!”

She added that she has no plans to,

“recluse and ‘date’ from home cause A. That’s not fun B. Extremely uncomfortable /puts me in a vulnerable position …. i would like to share an activity with someone I am dating and not be stuck at home with pretty much nothing to do but ‘Netflix and chill'”

She went on to point out that she’s new to dating after being in a serious relationship during her teenage years and through her early 20s. She said she’s simply trying to have fun and enjoy her #HotGirlFall.

She also made it clear Simpson is her type.
