Jamie Foxx Defends Jimmy Fallon: It Wasn’t Black Face, This One Is A Stretch
We previously reported that Late-night host/comedian Jimmy Fallon was accused of being a racist after an old video resurfaced from 20 years ago, from “Saturday Night Live.” The #JimmyFallonIsOver hashtag, began trending on Twitter as the clip of him impersonating Chris Rock circulated the Internet with his face, hands, and neck all covered in brown make-up.
Jimmy Fallon responded on Twitter apologizing. He writes:
“In 2000, while on SNL, I made a terrible decision to do an impersonation of Chris Rock while in blackface. There is no excuse for this. I am very sorry for making this unquestionably offensive decision and thank all of you for holding me accountable.”

The tweet received almost 8 thousand retweets and 75 thousand likes.
Fellow comedian Jamie Foxx came to Jimmy Fallon’s defense in a comment saying the allegations were a reach, and on legendary 90s’s show Living Single, which he was a cast member on, he says they played many races as well.
“He was doing an impression of Chris Rock. It wasn’t black face. We comedians I know it’s a touch time right now. But this one is a stretch. On a show in living color we played evert race. Let this one go. We got big fish to fry … #changecourse”

Some fans of Jimmy Fallon’s on Twitter came to his defense, remembering black comedians, who have portrayed white-face before in skits:
