Laurence Fishburne & Jenifer Lewis To Star In ‘Black-ish’ Spinoff ‘Old-ish’
Another Black-ish spin-off is being added to the growing ish franchise.
According to reports, a new spin-off from the ABC series is underway. Titled, Old-ish, the comedy series will star Laurence Fishburne and Jenifer Lewis, both who star in Black-ish. Both play the parents of Anthony Anderson’s character Dre.
Reportedly, the spinoff will follow Ruby and Earl as they give love a second chance As they move together to a L.A. neighborhood.
Black-ish was created by Kenya Barris. It follows an upper middle class African-American family led by Andre ‘Dre’ Johnson (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow Johnson (Tracee Ellis Ross). The show revolves around the family’s lives, as they juggle several personal and sociopolitical issues. The show also features the characters Zoey Johnson (Yara Shahidi), Andre Johnson, Jr. (Marcus Scribner), Jack Johnson (Miles Brown), and Diane Johnson (Marsai Martin).
Grown-ISH premiered in 2017, while Mixed-ISH premiered in 2019.
