Shaquille O’Neal Reveals He Just Voted For The First Time
Shaquille ‘Shaq’ O’Neal, 48, was very candid during a recent episode of his podcast, “The Big Podcast with Shaq“, where he revealed that this year was his very first time voting. Shaquille said,
“You know I always like being honest on my podcast. I’ve never voted before, America. But, now I’m doing all these voting campaigns, and you know one thing I never like to do is be a hypocrite.–In other words, America, I voted for the first time, and it feels good.”

After receiving some criticism from his co- hosts, Shaquille O’Neal further explained that he, “didn’t understand the electoral college system.” He cited the infamous 2016 presidential election where, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, while Donald Trump received more electoral votes. He admits there was “no excuse” for not voting previously, and credited his decision to participate in the voting process with his involvement in getting officials elected. He recently endorsed Atlanta’s district attorney, Fani Willis, as well as sheriff candidates in Lafayette, Louisiana and Naples, Florida.
While the news of Shaquille O’Neal voting for the first time came as a shock to many, he is not the only one. Raper Snoop Dog recently revealed that he has never voted in a presidential election. When asked about Donald Trump, he had this to say,
“I never voted a day in my life but this year I think I’m gonna get out and vote because I can’t stand to see this punk in office one more year.”
