Justin Bieber Slams Media For Using Unflattering Photos Of Him When He Battled Lyme Disease

Justin Bieber is not happy with how he is being portrayed online. The 26-year-old singer took to Instagram on Friday (Nov.20) to share his feelings with fans. He expressed that he is not happy with the unflattering images that are displayed online. He also states that he was battling Lyme Disease during the time when a lot of those unflattering images were taken.

“I don’t know what the algorithm is for why certain photos come up but this is so frustrating considering I took a lot of time to get healthy and I feel as though people try to legitimately sabotage me.”

He continues,

“This was a time where I was really unhealthy, I was battling Lyme Disease”

In the Instagram video, Justin is searching for photos of himself on Google and is seen showing examples of the “disheveled” pictures that he is unhappy about. He goes on to say that their are updated photos of himself that the media can use instead.

“There’s so many new photos that I’ve serviced to the media and they continue to use these photos. So it’s like, what’s the deal? It’s frustrating me. I wish they would change it. I’ve asked them to change it.”

In January 2020, Justin Bieber revealed he was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Lyme disease, also known as Lyme borreliosis, is an infectious disease caused by the Borrelia bacterium which is spread by ticks. Justin confirmed the news reposting a story circulating about his condition. He says,

“While a lot of people kept saying Justin Bieber looks like sh**, on meth etc. they failed to realize I’ve been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, not only that but had a serious case of chronic mono which affected my, skin, brain function, energy, and overall health.”

This isn’t the first time the “Holy” singer spoke out against the media. Last month, Justin Bieber shared that he was fed up with paparazzi lurking outside of his home and invading his privacy. In a post shared on his Instagram stories, Justin asked,

“How do you convince yourself it’s not completely inappropriate and disrespectful to wait outside my home to gawk, stare and take pictures as I walk into my apartment. This not a a hotel. It’s my home.”
