Wendy Williams Will NOT Return To TV This Fall & Debmar-Mercury ‘Not Happy’ That Fat Joe Interviewed Her: She Did Not Appear Well – Says Source
It appears that Wendy Williams fans will not see the talk show host return to TV this fall. Insiders tell Page Six that it’s
“logistically impossible”.
Over the weekend, Wendy told Fat Joe that she would return to TV on her own show.

According to the site, the production company, Debmar-Mercury, signed a deal with Sherri Shepherd that essentially takes over Williams’ time slots.
“Where’s she gonna go? It’s done. Logistically, it won’t work. Sherri has her time slots.”
Reportedly, Debmar-Mercury “is not happy” that Fat Joe interviewed Wendy Williams.
Fat Joe and Remy Ma have regularly guest hosted on the Wendy Show. The source says,
“He didn’t give them a heads-up about it and she did not appear well. She didn’t seem like she was all there. At times, she couldn’t even complete a sentence”.
The source also adds,
“Wendy is uninsurable. She has not been able to consistently work… She did not have the mental and physical capacity to host her show. [Debmar] wanted her back more than anybody. They would’ve loved for her to finish out this chapter.”
As previously reported, in 2021, Wendy took an indefinite leave of absence from the show due to various medical issues, with the show being hosted by a variety of guest hosts since the beginning of its 13th season in October 2021 (which itself was delayed from September due to a COVID-19 infection).
In February 2022, Debmar-Mercury announced that Sherri Shepherd would host a successor to The Wendy Williams Show, Sherri, beginning in the 2022–23 season.
