Pooh Sheisty May Have To Pay $1M In Restitution For Victims’ Medical Expenses

According to reports, prosecutors have requested that rapper Pooh Sheisty and his co-defendants pay over $1 million in restitution due to the injuries their victims sustained. The court documents detail the “expected cost that the victims will incur to treat the injuries” they sustained in 2020. 

As previously reported, Pooh Sheisty was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to a single firearms conspiracy charge. It’s been almost one year since the Memphis rapper was jailed before he took a plea deal for three separate crimes — armed robbery, aggravated assault and battery, and criminal theft.  

The 1017 signee’s incarceration is the result of a drug deal gone wrong. Sheisty, born Lontrell Donell Williams Jr., and his assailants Bobby Brown and Jayden Darosa are being asked to cough up around half a million dollars per person, totaling $1,149,828.43. The victims’ doctor alleged that the wounded would have to pay an orthopedic surgeon $200-800 per visit for the next five years and the restitution would cover past and future surgeries. 

However, the 23-year-old’s defense team believes the restitution request is ridiculous because the victims were the ones with drugs. Attorney Bradford Cohen said:

“So it’s essentially Tony Montana is asking the Colombians to pay him for the injuries he received.” 

This news comes a day after Sheisty took to Instagram to update his 3.5 million followers on his incarceration. He wrote:

“King Shiesty tappin in from the middle of the pennititary aka Hell where they say i cant go , jailing no telling !! i still remain Untouched , Millions still in double digits ! tell google fix my networth we can verify that sh*t right now yeah im locked up not f*ck*d up , i was 21 up 8 figures jayZ cant even relate my money tripple my followers. stop playing with my name before i buy one of you for sale *ss n*gg*s you n*gg*s ANYTHING! I put on for this Choppa Gang sh*t everyday , twice on Sundays im on the same sh*t from Tokio to Tennesse , ain go fed to start getting scared aint no n*gg* never played with me free or in jail.”

He added:

1017 boss, Gucci Mane, recently spoke out against the “unacceptable” prison conditions his artist is allegedly facing while incarcerated. Gucci Mane called on President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to assist in investigating Shiesty’s treatment behind bars. Gucci Mane, born Radric Delantic Davis, wrote:

“We do not pay attention to how inmates in the US are treated! @PoohShiesty has been sent to a prison over 1500 miles from his home, 23 hr lock down and given empty food trays. USP Pollack [sic] should be investigated immediately.”

His caption read:

“This is unacceptable!”
