Young Dolph–Person Of Interest In Rapper’s Murder Found Shot To Death
A man named a person of interest in Young Dolph’s murder has been killed.
According to reports, Memphis police found his body Wednesday (June 14). Family members identified Joshua Taylor as the victim. Taylor was found shot to death inside of a vehicle.
At this time, there are no suspects as this case is still ongoing.
In February 2022, Joshua Taylor was named as a person of interest in the Young Dolph murder case. According to reports, he was wanted on a number of other charges, including theft of property between $10,000-$60,000 and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Taylor was reportedly friends with Justin Johnson, one of the two alleged shooters who have been charged in Dolph’s killing. Investigators initially wanted to know if Taylor knew where Johnson was on the day of Dolph’s killing or if he knew anything about the murder. Police never charged Taylor in the killing and he had not been mentioned in the case.
As you may already know, Adolph “Young Dolph” Thornton Jr. was fatally shot inside Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies in Memphis on November 17th of 2021. The rapper was 36 at the time. Reportedly, Dolph was shot 22 times.

Justin Johnson, 23, and Cornelius Smith, 32, are currently behind bars awaiting for the murder trial to begin. Johnson is accused of being the triggerman and firing the fatal bullets. Smith has also been charged with attempted first-degree murder, unlawfully carrying or possessing a weapon, and employment of a firearm with intent to commit a felony.
