Wendy Williams Ex-Husband Accuses Her Sister And Production Company Of Stealing Up To $15 Million From Former TV Show Legend: ‘Blood On Alotta Hands’
Kevin Hunter, Wendy Williams’ ex-husband, is putting her sister and a production company on blast following the release of the two-part documentary ‘Where Is Wendy Williams?’
Kevin Hunter accused Wendy Williams’ sister, Wanda, as well as Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein, of taking advantage of the talk show host and stealing millions of dollars from her. Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein were the co-founders and co-presidents of the Debmar-Mercury production and distribution company. Their programming included The Wendy Williams Show.
Kevin Hunter posted the allegations in an Instagram Story, which ‘The Neighborhood Talk’ shared before it was removed. It read,
“Ok so everyone heard “f*ck Kevin” through docu-series..np the SHOW took precedent over EVERYTHING including family..what I guess they left out was that while she was in Florida getting recovery 3 yrs ago there were the secret calls her SISTER would set up with DEBMAR MERCURY (MORT & IRA) with false pretense that she would be getting show back.”
Hunter claimed that was a lie and went on to reveal what Wanda, Mort Marcus, and Ira Bernstein alleged true intentions were.
“They were only trying to get her there to satisfy an insurance claim so they could obviously replace losses and the money that they were STEALING (5-15mil) and they wanted CONTROL her SISTER was trying to get ultimate control herself and was medical proxy @the time.”
In the end, Hunter claims Wendy Williams was deceived, and her sister, Wanda, was kicked out of the alleged scheme. Hunter then talked about Wendy’s reaction to the whole ordeal,
“She spiraled WORSE..I was involved @ the time…blood on ALOTTA HANDS.”
Wendy’s ex-husband has yet to make another Instagram story about the alleged incident on his page.
Hunter and Wendy wed in 1999 before they got a divorce in January 2020 after he fathered a child outside of their marriage. As part of their divorce settlement agreement, the famed TV personality had to pay alimony checks to her ex-husband, but those payments stopped in 2022. According to reports, Wendy was placed in a court-ordered financial guardianship after Wells Fargo froze her accounts when a former financial adviser for the host reported to the bank that she was an “incapacitated person.”
He has since been vocal about his financial struggles and asked a judge to resume the alimony payments, which a judge denied.
Wendy and Hunter share a 22-year-old son, Kevin Hunter Jr.
