Nicki Minaj’s Sister Says ‘I Still Love Her’ After Being Labeled A ‘Mooch & Clown’ By Rapper For Speaking Publicly On Their Estranged Relationship
Rap star Nicki Minaj appears to disapprove of her younger sister’s recent interview.
The 41-year-old seemingly called out her sibling Ming Li, 18, chastising her for speaking about their strained relationship during a recent interview.

Nicki Minaj, born Onika Tanya Miraj, went live on Stationhead on Monday (August 5th), reacting to her sister Ming Li opening up about their tense relationship. The “Everybody” rapper stated:
“Why would a person speak on a person they love? Why would a person speak openly about a private person? Why would a person do that?”

She continued:
“Who would you speak about in your interviews if someone wanted to interview you? Yourself, right? It’s always a bad sign if…a person who’s not even in your line of work is doing interviews with people in your line of work.”

Going on, the New York native criticized people who feel you can “catch” talent “like a cold” and scoffed at the idea that it’s shared through DNA. She added:
“Even with blood relation, what God has given to me is mine…You have to go and get your own. You have to discover whatever it is that you’re great at. Being a mooch and a clown don’t run in my DNA.”
Minaj’s rant comes weeks after Ming Li appeared on the We In Miami podcast where she answered many questions about her famous family member. Ming Li – born Ming Miraj, claimed that she was bullied growing up by kids who questioned why Minaj wasn’t around. She stated:
“People used to say like, ‘Oh if this person was your sister, why didn’t she do this for you’…I never needed her to help me get to my goal. I just needed her to see that I can do it and she can be proud of me without having to think that I needed to have an easy way to get to the top.”
Ming also acknowledged that the two were “never close,” but insisted that Minaj would always at least make sure that she and their shared father were “always good.” She also clarified that she bears no ill will towards her sister, and doubled down on that stance even after catching wind of Minaj’s response to her. In one comment, Ming wrote:
“I still love her, I tried as a sister to please her but I realize I gotta please God first cause only he can judge the gift he gave me”

She added in another:
“It’s okay , I said what I said, still love her, so Imma still do what I gotta do to move forwards and move up it’s whatever no hate and no drama and no disrespect either but just know, God always on my side”
