Victoria Monét Sparks Mixed Reactions After Attending Chris Brown Concert: ‘Not You Too’

The 3X Grammy winner drew both backlash and praise for her choice to attend one of her colleague’s recent concerts regardless of his questionable past.

Social media users have been reacting to the situation ever since a video of Victora Monét dancing at Chris Brown’s recent “11:11” tour stop in Los Angeles on Tuesday (August 6th) began circulating online. The “On My Mama” singer appeared to attend the show with a friend and was all smiles while singing along to Breezy’s classic hit “With You.”
Reacting to the video, some users criticized Victoria Monét and other female R&B artists who continue to publicly support Chris Brown in light of his past instances of domestic violence and alleged colorist remarks and actions. If you recall, artists such as Chloe Bailey and Ciara have faced similar scrutiny in recent years after they decided to release music with the hitmaker.

Prior to Monét, R&B singer Kehlani recently came under fire for appearing in a photo with Brown. While some commenters used both situations to attack Brown and anyone behind him, others, came to both Brown and Monét’s defense. They argued that outside of social media, the “Under The Influence” singer is still loved and celebrated, and maintained that artists should be able to support whom they choose.
