Nicki Minaj Goes OFF After Music Exec Called Her Out For Criticizing Jay-Z & Claimed She Wasn’t Paid Equity From Tidal Because She ‘Didn’t Sign The Paperwork’

Rap super star Nicki Minaj had some strong words for music exec Steve Stoute.

The musician unleashed a round of insults towards the UnitedMasters founder after he slammed her opinions on Jay-Z’s Super Bowl halftime show selection and made remarks about her deal with the streaming platform Tidal.

Tensions between Nicki Minaj, 41, and Steve Stoute, 54, seemingly began after the latter’s recent appearance on The Pivot Podcast. During the episode, the former Interscope VP shared his disapproving thoughts about Nicki Minaj reproving Jay-Z for choosing Kendrick Lamar to perform at next year’s halftime show in New Orleans instead of Louisiana native and hip-hop great Lil Wayne. He stated:

“I really don’t like when people who opened up doors, as Black people, get sh**ted on publicly…I think in that case, what Nicki did was wrong.”

Going on to address Minaj’s recent claim that she wasn’t paid after Jay-Z sold Tidal in 2021, Stoute continued:

“To bring up Tidal, his streaming company, that he gave you equity in, that you didn’t sign the f**king paperwork and that’s the reason why you left millions of dollars on the table, that man [Jay-Z] didn’t do nothing to you.”

In case you’re unfamiliar, earlier this month Minaj claimed that she didn’t see any equity revenue from her ownership in Tidal, despite being part of the several musicians who signed on to be part of Jay-Z’s musician owned streaming platform in 2015. While responding to Stoute’s recent comments on the topic, she doubled down on statements writing in several posts to her X (formerly Twitter) account:

“I received a call advising tidal was sold & they made no money on the deal so all they could offer me was a million dollars.  but wait, there’s more! The lawyer advised that Desirat advised him that I HAD TO SIGN THE AGREEMENT IN 24 HOURS IF I WANTED THE 1MM or the “offer” was off the table.”

She added in another post:

“So Barbz, thank you for supporting something I was a part of. I love you. But I was scammed & offered a million dollars to be silenced. I declined. The grace of God is sufficient. I didn’t need their hush money.”

Going on Minaj took personal aim at Stoute and began blasting him for speaking on her name and suggested that he, and other of his associates, are only bringing her up to keep attention off of Diddy’s ongoing sex trafficking and RICO case. She wrote in post:

“Every day a new man pushing 60 years of age gets fingered in the bussy then made to come on this internet & lie on me. God is in control. Bookmark this. I’d advise yall to never mention my name again.”

“They gotta keep the conversation on me so that no one asks about these charges against their BFF. I mean it seems the 30 year old tea here is FAR from stale. Patterns. Yet. SAS, UGLY ALIEN, STOUT, dick breath, etc all talking about Onika ? Why they talking bout Oniqua?!?!?!”

She continued:

“Undercover men are always aggravated with women b/c THEY have decided that they can’t live in THEIR truth. Therefore women who have done nothing wrong to them are made to pay. For simply existing. Fix it JESUS. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.”

And followed up with:

“Dear Short & stout DIK, laffy taffy alien, DIK bref, SAS, we want to know if u were present during abuse of teenagers & children. That’s what we wanna know. You can’t taste my p***y. Stop. Aaliyah, Foxy, etc. during R. Kelly videos shoots & stuff?? Did u know about the abuse to Kim porter & Cassie? Yall seemed to always run in a sorta… RAT PACK. So that’s what we the ppl want you & your peeps to speak on. Ugly. Bald head bowling ball b**ch. U nighaz don’t have this energy for gangsters in person. Only for btchs on the internet.”

Minaj went on to take a couple of extra jabs at Jay-Z. It doesn’t appear the billionaire has made any remarks about the situation at this time.
