NFL Player Jabrill Peppers Arrested On Strangulation & Drug Charges, Police Report Claims Woman Was Choked 6 Times
New England Patriots player Jabrill Peppers is facing serious legal troubles after being arrested on Saturday (October 5) in Braintree, Massachusetts, for charges that include strangulation and drug possession.
According to police, they responded to a disturbance at a residential address early that morning, where a caller reported an altercation between two individuals. The 29-year-old New England Patriots safety was charged with “assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, strangulation, and possession of a Class B substance believed to be cocaine.”

In a police report, it was alleged that Jabrill Peppers hit the woman, choked her “at least six times,” stripped her of her clothing, and put her outside. Officers also reported that he shoved her to the ground, forced her head into a wall, and strangled her. The woman was treated at home for injuries to her face and knees.
Despite the report, Jabrill Peppers’ attorney, Marc Brofsky, stated that evidence, including videotaped footage, “sheds real doubt on the allegations.”
During his arraignment in Quincy District Court on Monday (October 7), Peppers pleaded not guilty, posting a $2,500 bail and agreeing to stay away from the woman.

The Patriots are aware of the situation and said they are currently gathering information. Coach Jerod Mayo commented,
“We’ve informed the NFL what was going on and we’re still gathering information… I don’t think anyone knows the facts or anything like that. It’s a process.”
Sports fans are eager to see how this situation will unfold and affect Peppers’ standing in the league, especially after he recently signed a three-year, $24 million contract extension.
