In an interview with @wusa9 , the 7-year-old’s mother claimed her child was hospitalized after a 4th grader choked him on a bathroom stall, allegedly telling him:
“I’m gonna show you how I did people back in the day.”
The public school district says the incident was the result of “horeseplaying,” claiming the young boy got stuck on his coat zipper and was unable to free himself, at which point the 4th grader sought adult assistance.
Reports state that the parents won’t be returning their child to the school, but noted that they plan to follow up with the district about the incident.
