Ayesha Howard, Ex Of NBA Star Anthony Edwards, Defends Decision To Keep Their Child Amid Legal Battle
Anthony Edwards’ ex, Ayesha Howard, is firing back at critics after text messages allegedly showed him pressuring her to get an abortion.
In a recent IG story, Ayesha called out the normalization of abortion and the way women are blamed for single motherhood while men avoid accountability:
“You have all become so numb, ungrateful, and disrespectful of the ability to reproduce and give life that abortion has become desensitized. Now, the blame is placed on the woman, on innocent babies while the man is continuously protected.”
She continued,
“It’s your body, your choice, and your voice still matters… To the men who have lacked and continue to lack male representation, influence, and accountability: being a man doesn’t start and stop with an erection. Being a father is not optional after bypassing the preventative measures available to you beforehand.”

Ayesha’s post comes amid her legal battle with Anthony, accusing him of neglecting their daughter. Court documents allege that he urged her to get an abortion, declared their child would be “fatherless,” and then blocked her.
Still, Ayesha remains firm in her decision to have the baby,
“I’m happy with mine. My daughter is a God-given gift, not a mistake. The act was consensual, and my baby is not to blame. It’s my body, my choice, my right, my mind.”
A judge has yet to rule on the case.
