Cissy Houston’s First Interview Since Whitney’s Death, “The media is awful, they think they know everything.”

On her first interview since the death of her daughter, Whitney, this week, Cissy Houston spoke with New Jersey’s My9TV 10 O’Clock News. On coping with the loss of her daughter, she said:
“I have my moments. I’m not there yet… If I could bring her back I would, but that’s not possible. My children are my whole life. She was very special to me… She was my only daughter, and a good one. (She) looked out for her family… I know I did the best I could.”
Despite the public and media’s speculation surrounding Whitney’s drug use before her death, Cissy remarked:
“I’m very proud of my daughter. She accomplished a whole lot in the short time that she had here… She was a very wonderful person.”
Cissy also explained how un-pleased she is with the media’s coverage of Whitney,
“The media is awful, they think they know everything. God has his way of taking care of all of it.”
