Donald Trump responded to the deadly mass sh**ting at Florida State University on April 17, which left two d*ad and six injured, by reiterating his strong stance on the Second Amendment.
“I’m a big advocate of the Second Amendment, I have been from the beginning. I protected it,” he remarked.
When asked about changes to gun legislation, he emphasized,
“The gun doesn’t do the sh**ting, the people do — a phrase that’s used probably too often.”

He added that while these incidents are tragic, he has no plans to push for legislative changes, noting,
“I have an obligation to protect the Second Amendment.”
Donald Trump’s administration has previously announced plans to roll back gun regulations, including reducing oversight on federally licensed gun dealers.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis also expressed condolences, vowing justice for the victims, while Sheriff Walt McNeil confirmed the suspect, Phoenix Ikner, had three guns in his possession.
