Passengers Evacuated After Delta Flight Catches Fire In Orlando Before Takeoff
According to officials, the engine fire broke out on Delta Flight 1213 late Monday morning (Apr. 21) while the plane was still at the ramp preparing for takeoff. The flight, which was scheduled to head to Atlanta, had 282 passengers, 10 flight attendants, and two pilots on board.

The airline said in a statement,
“Delta flight crews followed procedures to evacuate the passenger cabin when flames in the tailpipe of one of the aircraft’s two engines were observed.”
Delta confirmed the fire was “contained and extinguished,” with no injuries reported.
