Cardi B will receive the prestigious ASCAP Voice of the Culture Award, honoring members who have made a major impact on music and culture.
“Cardi B has left an indelible mark on the culture of hip-hop by redefining and challenging the norms for women,” said ASCAP Chairman Paul Williams. She made history in 2020 as the first woman to win ASCAP’s Rhythm & Soul Songwriter of the Year two years in a row.
With 23 ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards and numerous industry honors, Cardi B continues to influence music and society through her “unapologetic authenticity and talent.”
