Mo’Nique’s Son Shalon Jackson Apologizes For 2024 Feud: ‘I Should’ve Just Called My Mother’
Mo’Nique’s son, Shalon Jackson, is speaking out again.
In a new video, Shalon Jackson apologized for the way he handled things last year, when he accused his mother of being emotionally absent during his childhood:
“Making those videos a year ago was a betrayal against our family and I have to take full accountability for it. Why I made the videos and how I was feeling at the time when I made them is irrelevant. I made them and I shouldn’t have. My family did not deserve the backlash that they received from what I said.”
He also addressed how Mo’Nique and her husband Sidney Hicks spoke out about his mental health in response:
“My mother and Sydney were very justified to address my mental health condition at the time. I just simply didn’t like it. I should’ve just kept my mouth shut and called my mother.”
Shalon Jackson went on to say he regrets creating distance between himself, his mother, and his children.
He also shared private family photos showing Mo’Nique actively involved in his child’s life, making it clear they’ve since repaired their relationship.
