Lil Durk Will Not Face De@th Penalty In Murder-For-Hire Case Tied To The K*lling Of Quan Rondo Affiliate Lul Pab
Lil Durk just dodged the harshest penalty on the table.
Federal prosecutors confirmed they won’t seek the d*ath penalty in his m*rder-for-hire case tied to the 2022 k*lling of Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, a close affiliate of Quando Rondo.
The government alleges the Chicago rapper, born Durk Banks, helped orchestrate the fatal sh**ting as payback for the 2020 d*ath of King Von, his longtime friend and collaborator.
Though prosecutors believe Durk played a key role and used firearms in the setup, they’ve now ruled out capital punishment. If convicted, he still faces a potential life sentence.
Durk remains in federal custody at the MDC in Los Angeles as he awaits a key hearing on June 3. His trial is set for October 14, 2025. His legal team continues to argue the case is built on weak evidence like text messages and rap lyrics, not hard facts.
