Diddy Trial Prosecutors ‘No Longer Planning To Proceed’ On Attempted Kidnapping, Attempted Arson Or Aiding & Abetting $ex Trafficking Claims For Racketeering Conspiracy Charge Against Mogul

Diddy may have just gotten a major win in court.

Prosecutors issued a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian on Tuesday, June 24, stating that they want to “streamline” instructions for the jury as deliberations are expected to begin soon.

They stated that they are “no longer planning to proceed” on the following claims concerning the racketeering conspiracy charge against Diddy: attempted kidnapping, attempted arson, and aiding and abetting sex trafficking as liability.

Prosecutors said in the letter, shared by court reporter Meghann Cuniff, that they want to “avoid any confusion” in the racketeering charge. Ultimately, they had to prove that Diddy and another party “agreed to participate in enterprise affairs through racketeering,” and it appears prosecutors haven’t done that. As Cuniff explained, Combs ordering or “causing” someone to commit an act doesn’t equal an agreement.

Diddy has been on trial since early May for racketeering, $ex trafficking and transportation to engage in pro$titution charges. His defense rested their case after less than 30 minutes and without calling any witnesses to testify on Tuesday.
