Diddy Scores Partial Legal Win As R@pe & A$$ault Claims Dropped + Only One Allegation Remains In Civil Lawsuit
Diddy just scored another major courtroom win. According to new legal documents obtained by TMZ, the r@pe, battery, and emotional distress claims brought by April Lampros have been dismissed from her lawsuit.
Lampros originally accused Diddy of r@ping her multiple times in the ‘90s, but now those allegations are no longer part of the case.
Her attorney Tyrone Blackburn also included Bad Boy Records in the original filing, claiming the label enabled the abuse. That claim has now also been dropped.
What remains is a single accusation under the Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Law. Lampros says in 2000 or 2001, Diddy “violently grabbed her and forced himself onto her” after they crossed paths in NYC, though she claims she was able to fight him off.
Diddy’s team tells TMZ these dismissals “significantly” narrow the case. Blackburn responded, “It’s a win. The case moves forward and discovery begins.”
