Muni Long’s Joke About Lyfe Jennings Triggers Unexpected Beef Between Singers + Muni Apologizes After Spat Goes Viral
A beef we never saw coming.
A lighthearted joke from Muni Long about Lyfe Jennings’ hit song “Must Be Nice” quickly turned into a public dispute.
It started when Long posted on Twitter, “Maturing is realizing Lyfe Jennings was really a hatin a** ?…. ‘must be nice…’ is crazy.”
The remark drew mixed reactions online, prompting Jennings to respond on Instagram.
“Callin a grown man a hating a** n***a is wild work even as a joke,” he wrote, adding that he’s always celebrated those who came before him. Long initially responded with humor, trying to lighten the mood.
Seeing that Jennings was still unamused, she later issued a more sincere apology.
“Hey man, if I hurt your feelings, that’s valid… I apologize,” she said.
