‘All Clear’ Issued After B@mb Threat Grounds All In & Out Flights At D.C. Reagan National Airport
Officials have given the “all clear” at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (#DCA) following a temporary ground stop triggered by a reported b@mb threat.
The Federal Aviation Administration (#FAA) confirmed that a #UnitedAirlines flight (Flight 512) was isolated and its passengers removed while authorities conducted an investigation. During that time, all inbound and outbound flights were suspended.
Reassuring travelers, the FBI Washington Field Office said its “National Capital Response Squad responded to reports of a b@mb threat… No hazards were found. The #FBI continues to work with our law enforcement partners on this investigation.” According to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which operates the airport, the incident began around 11:30 a.m., leading to several flight diversions. The airport’s runways reopened shortly before 1 p.m., and normal operations have since resumed.
