[UPDATE] Antonio Brown Released After Posting Bond In Miami Attempted M#rder Case, Placed On House Arrest

#AntonioBrown is a free man, at least for the time being.

The former #NFL standout was released from a Miami-Dade jail after posting a $25,000 bond and agreeing to house arrest with a GPS monitor, a judge ruled. “God is great,” Brown said as he left custody following the hearing. The judge granted bond a day after prosecutors had asked for pretrial detention, arguing Brown was a flight risk.

Brown faces a charge of second-degree attempted m*rder with a fire@rm, stemming from a May 16 incident in #Miami. According to the warrant, he allegedly grabbed a h@ndg*n from a security staffer after a celebrity boxing match and fired two shots at Zul?Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, with one bullet grazing the victim’s neck.

Brown pleaded not guilty. He and his lawyer maintain he acted in self-defense, claiming he was “jumped by multiple individuals” who tried to steal his jewelry. “He didn’t flee to #Dubai,” Eiglarsh said, in response to prosecutors’ concerns about Brown’s business ties overseas. If convicted, Brown could receive up to 15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
