[UPDATE] 20-Year-Old Man Arrested In Sh**ting That Left Jets Player Kris Boyd Fighting For His Life
A 20-year-old man linked to the November sh**ting of #NewYorkJets cornerback #KrisBoyd has been arrested in Buffalo, according to law enforcement sources.
Officials told NBC News that the U.S. Marshals Service and the #NYPD worked together to take the individual, described as a “person of interest,” into custody.
Boyd was gravely injured during the incident, which occurred in the early hours of Nov. 16 near Seventh Avenue and West 38th Street. A bullet reportedly entered his abdomen and lodged in his right lung, leaving the 29-year-old athlete in critical condition. He required several surgeries in the days that followed.
Despite the severity of his injuries, Boyd has kept fans updated on his progress. He shared a message from his hospital bed saying he was “coming along,” and even made an unexpected visit to the Jets’ #NewJersey training facility last week to reunite with teammates.
