Sheinelle Jones Announced As Jenna Bush Hager’s “Today” Fourth Hour Co-Host Following
Hoda Kotb Exit
Congratulations are in order for Sheinelle Jones!
The news journalist and anchor has been named the new permanent co-host of the fourth hour of #TODAY, joining Jenna Bush Hager, almost a year after #HodaKotb’s departure.
Jenna announced the decision on air this morning (Dec. 9), saying, “I have found my forever friend,” and describing Sheinelle as “extraordinary” and someone who “exemplifies exactly what this show is all about.”
Sheinelle, who has been part of the TODAY team since 2014 and will be stepping away from the 3rd Hour, expressed how meaningful the new role is, calling it “beyond my wildest dreams” and adding, “I get to do it with Jenna.” The fourth-hour block will now be rebranded as Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, which officially launches in January.
