Tekashi 6ix9ine Turns Himself In To Begin Three-Month Sentence For Probation Violation
Tekashi 6ix9ine is behind bars, again.
The controversial rapper turned himself in to authorities today (Jan. 6) to begin serving a three-month sentence for violating the terms of his supervised release.
Video circulating online, captured by streamer #AdinRoss, shows 6ix9ine arriving at the Metropolitan Detention Center. The facility previously housed #Diddy before he was transferred to Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix, a low-security federal prison.
The Brooklyn jail is also currently home to captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and Luigi Mangione, who is accused of f@t@lly shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in December 2024. Despite the circumstances, #6ix9ine appears to be taking a lighthearted approach to his sentence, telling TMZ ahead of his surrender that he’s actually looking forward to meeting his fellow inmates. He said that he plans to teach Maduro how to play Spades and let Mangione know about the online support he’s received.
