John Legend Expected To Testify In L.A. Reid’s S3xual A$$ault Case, Trial To Begin Next Week
#JohnLegend and L.A. Reid might be seeing each other in the courtroom soon.
Music executive #LAReid is scheduled to stand trial next week in Los Angeles over s3xual a$$ault allegations made by former Arista Records vice president #DrewDixon, stemming from incidents she says occurred in 2001 while they worked together. Dixon claims Reid a$$aulted her twice and then damaged her career after she refused his advances, an assertion Reid has denied.
Dixon, who has since become a prominent advocate for survivors of abuse in the music industry, also claims Reid used his influence to have her blackballed and even blocked her signing of singer John Legend at the label. Sources told Page Six that John is expected to testify as a witness. Dixon’s advocacy helped advance the Adult Survivors Act, a law that temporarily lifted time limits on bringing historical abuse claims, a key factor that allowed this lawsuit to proceed.
