50 Cent’s Ex Claims She Signed Away Her Life Rights ‘Out of Fear’ After Alleged Pressure From His Team
Shaniqua Tompkins, the former partner of rap mogul 50 Cent, is back in court with explosive claims that she was pressured into signing away the rights to her own life story. In newly filed legal documents, Tompkins alleges the deal was not voluntary, claiming she agreed to the contract only because she feared retaliation from people close to the rapper.
According to the lawsuit, Tompkins says she signed an exclusive life-rights agreement years ago that granted 50 Cent’s company control over her personal story — including how it could be told publicly. She now argues the agreement should be void, insisting she was intimidated into signing and did not have the freedom or leverage to walk away.
Tompkins claims the pressure came from 50 Cent’s late manager, who she alleges played a central role in pushing the deal forward. She says the circumstances surrounding the agreement left her feeling trapped and fearful, ultimately leading her to sign away her rights despite not wanting to.
The legal filing seeks to undo the contract entirely, arguing it was executed under duress and should never have been enforceable. If successful, the move would allow Tompkins to tell her own story without restriction — something she says the agreement has prevented for years.
The lawsuit adds another chapter to the long-running tension between Tompkins and 50 Cent, whose personal disputes have frequently spilled into the public eye. As the case moves forward, the court will now decide whether the deal stands — or whether Tompkins gets her story back.
