Ray J Sued By American Express For $78K

American Express has filed a lawsuit against singer and reality star Ray J, accusing him of failing to repay tens of thousands of dollars on a credit card account.

According to the complaint, American Express alleges Ray J breached his credit agreement after allegedly failing to pay off a balance totaling $78,704.56. The financial giant is asking a judge to award the full amount.

The lawsuit also names Rajun Cajun Inc., a business the filing claims is connected to Ray J. However, the report notes it’s unclear exactly how the company is tied to the entertainer.

Sources close to Ray J told TMZ that the singer plans to pay off the debt, though it’s not known when that payment might happen.

This is not the first legal dispute between Ray J and the credit card company. In December, American Express previously sued him, alleging he owed $139,849.85.

That earlier lawsuit also named Tronix Network, a company associated with Ray J, in the filing.
