Halle Bailey Opens Up About Constantly Being Mistaken For Halle Berry

In a recent interview with The Guardian to promote her upcoming film “You, Me & Tuscany,” #HalleBailey shared the origin of her name while addressing being mistaken for another famous actress. When asked, “How often do people confuse you with #HalleBerry,” the 25-year-old said, “The funny thing is that my parents were inspired by her name. They liked the name Hailey, but Hailey Bailey doesn’t quite work, so they went with Halle instead.”

In 2024, Bailey and Berry gave fans what they had been waiting for, revealing that they finally met in person at a soccer match. Bailey has also paid tribute to the Academy Award winner, showing her admiration by dressing up as Berry for Halloween. Reflecting on their interactions, Bailey added, “I have met her – she’s been so kind to me every time. But people do often refer to me as Halle Berry and I have to say: ‘It’s Bailey.’”
