Kim Kardashian & Kris Jenner Shut Down In Court As Judge Refuses To Seal Secret Ray J S*x Tape Settlement

A Los Angeles judge has denied an effort by Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner to keep details of a past agreement with Ray J out of public view.

According to court documents, the judge rejected their request to seal records tied to a 2023 settlement involving the infamous s*x tape. The ruling stated they failed to show that releasing the information would cause harm.

The dispute stems from a lawsuit filed in October 2025, where Kim and Kris accused Ray J of defamation after he alleged federal scrutiny involving the pair. They denied those claims. Ray J later countersued, alleging they breached a confidential agreement related to the tape.

He claimed he was paid $6 million to remain silent, accusing them of violating the deal by discussing the situation on their Hulu series.

Attorneys for Kim and Kris argued, “The agreement resolved highly sensitive matters that the parties explicitly agreed to keep confidential in order to protect their families from public disclosure and respect these sensitive matters.”

The judge ultimately sided with Ray J, ordering unredacted filings.
