New York Knicks Star Mikal Bridges Says Team Owner James Dolan Told Players ‘Ten Weeks’ w/ No S*x Before Playoffs
New York Knicks forward Mikal Bridges celebrated the team’s championship run by going live on Instagram and giving fans an unexpected peek inside the locker room.
Two days after the Knicks won their first NBA title in 53 years, Bridges appeared intoxicated on Instagram Live and confirmed reports that team owner James Dolan made a no-s*x request before the playoffs.
“He brought n*ggas in and said, ‘Ten weeks! Don’t have any s*x. Lock in!’” Bridges said. “N*gga’s a savage. He’s a savage! He could be a bigger savage if he built a practice facility in the city. But he’s still a savage.”
According to SNY’s Ian Begley, Dolan’s message was meant jokingly, though one source said players “were a little surprised, but the words hit.”
Bridges also praised Jalen Brunson after his Finals MVP performance.
“Build him a statue,” Bridges said. “Build that little big-headed a** n*gga a statue.”
Did this request help them win the championship?
