Papoose Takes More Shots At Remy Ma On ‘Jezebel,’ Claims She Resented Praise He Received As A Husband & Says He Still Gives Her Money

Papoose is revealing even more about his fractured relationship with estranged wife Remy Ma on the second verse of his new track, “Jezebel.” As previously reported, the Brooklyn rapper raised eyebrows with lyrics about supporting Remy during her incarceration, including, “When you was locked up, I brought you food, sent you mail.”

In the newly shared verse, Papoose names Remy while claiming she resented the attention he received for being a devoted husband. “When y’all admired the love that I showed Remy, she hated it, bro,” he raps, alleging she questioned why people praised him instead of celebrating her. Papoose says he viewed the attention as people celebrating them as “relationship goals” and an example of Black love.

Papoose also pushes back against claims about what he contributed financially to their marriage. After referencing supporting Remy while she was incarcerated and claiming he paid her bail, he says, “To this day, I give you money; did you get the Zelle?” He also alleges Remy once said she wouldn’t leave their home because she bought it with money she earned, prompting him to compare himself to Omari Hardwick’s Power character Ghost.

The rapper continues taking personal shots, repeatedly calling Remy “Jezebel” and disputing statements she has allegedly made about him. He also tells Remy and her longtime friend Juju Castaneda to “humble” themselves, comparing the pair to Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King. Meanwhile, Remy appears to be preparing a musical response of her own, teasing her upcoming song “Why I Get Married,” featuring Keke Wyatt, which is expected to arrive Sept. 25.
