[UPDATE] Producer Tay Keith D!ed From Dr*g Overdose Involving Ketamine & Mitragynine, Officials Say

Hip hop producer #TayKeith’s cause of de@th has been revealed.

According to TMZ, the Nashville Medical Examiner’s Office determined that the 29-year-old d!ed from the toxic effects of dr*gs, including ketamine and mitragynine, a compound found in kratom that affects the brain’s opioid receptors. It’s unclear whether Tay was using kratom at the time or came into contact with the substance another way.

The medical examiner’s report also noted that Tay had nicotine and ethanol in his system, along with mild coronary artery disease. As previously reported, Tay Keith was found de@d in June during a welfare check at his #Nashville apartment, surrounded by dr*g paraphernalia; police did not suspect foul play.
