Olympic Champion Gabby Douglas Ignores People’s Criticism About Her Hair

16-year-old Gabby Douglas, a member of the USA women’s gymnastic team, is catching some heat for her hair. Recently, the team’s only African American Gold medal member has received some twitter criticism over how she wore her hair during the competition.

The Huffington Post ran a story about the buzz surrounding Gabby’s hair style, even sharing a few non pleasant tweets:

Meanwhile, Gabby seems to be either ignoring the critics or too focused on competing in the Olympics. Thursday morning she tweeted her excitement about receiving a call from President Obama and lovin’ her some Jesus. She wrote:
