Odd Future’s Frank Ocean took to the MTV VMA stage, singing one of his more popular Channel Orange songs, “Thinkin Bout You”. Based on twitter’s reaction, which isn’t necessarily a fair assessment, some folk LOVED Ocean’s live singing, while others were highly critical. The beginning was a little rocky, but I think he nailed the performance.
NO….HOWEVER…. I think he was a little nervous after coming out…I’m still a fan though:-)
I LOVE Mr. ocean…but he def did not nail shit. I was waiting for the climax of the performance; and I was still awaiting it when he walked off stage.
I agree! He’s a great artist. But this performance….
To me it seemed like a “walk through” performance when they reherse. You don’t sing the whole song or certain notes because its practice. Did he know that this was airing live?
