Fight Breaks Out At Waka Flocka Charity Event + Video Footage

Waka Flocka Flame was in Atlanta Thursday to host the first charity bowling event to kick off the BET Hip Hop Awards weekend. He was also promoting his recently launched “Home for the Holidays” program which provides 10 homes to families run by single parents or grandparents. He also pledged to donate $50 for every strike made at the event. Nice right? Well not everyone thought so. Shortly after the commencement of the event, a man approached the rapper and a fight broke out. Allegedly, the man was a previous artist that was being groomed by Waka but didn’t end on such good terms. The Georgia native’s PR team released a statement saying:
“An artist who had previously been under [Waka’s] helm approached him with malice, words were said and our client was forced to defend himself. The aftermath though dramatic, left no one seriously injured and saw the majority of the crowd dispersed without incident.”
Celebrity blogger Freddy-O who was at the event, also stated that,
“fights happen especially when big celebrities make themselves accessible to their fans. It sucks that this happened but let’s not let it overshadow its purpose. It was and still is about the community.”
The Hip Hop Awards goes down tonight and will air on BET October 11. Peep the fight footage:
