Rick Ross Unwelcomed @ College, Students Protesting

Students at Georgia State University in Atlanta are protesting Rick Ross‘ scheduled homecoming performance on Friday.
Students in protest are concerned about the content or Ross‘ lyrics. Ayesha Kirk (who is a student at the university) told a local television station:
“We don’t understand why the lyrics are this way. Why is this an artist that we support? Why are we spending thousands of dollars on this message?”
Kirk specifically addresses disapproval for the lyrics of Ross‘ song “9 Piece”.
“[Rick] Ross is known for raps that discuss drugs, money and sex. In his song titled ‘9 Piece’ Ross says, ‘I’m selling dope straight off my iPhone.'”
Georgia State has a no-drug policy that includes expulsion from the university for those who violate the policy. To students in protest, the irony is in the fact that the school is supporting an artist who’s lyrics indirectly violate the university’s policies. To add fuel to the fire, Georgia State is using a portion of the fees all 30,000 students pay in order to fund the concert.
What do you think–are their points valid?

They should STFU how do you know the words to the song SMDH. Ask me one of Taylor Swifts songs, let alone a hook or verse. Apparently majority rules and the school expects to make some paper off the event. Most mainstream rappers go in about the stuff you want to keep on the low. Deal with it or don’t go to homecoming shorty you in the A are you serious what you want T.I.P
This is all that matters “Georgia State is using a portion of the fees all 30,000 students pay in order to fund the concert.” Especially when people are getting out of college and can’t find jobs, to know that a portion of my money is going to making this man rich, when there is a huge chance i could be out of work when i go finish school is crazy. IF they don’t want him there then I don’t blame them for not wanting him there. I get that college is fun, but these are different times when money is scarce. IF they don’t want him there, then so be it. And it makes a ton of sense, why have this man rapping about selling dope when if you are caught with drugs and getting Aide for school it could pull you out of the running to recieve help.
No need to worry kids…at this point dude justa a high paid actor…he never sold drugs grew up quite responsible and until recently held a job with the Florida State correctional facilities…protesting him would be like protesting him would be like protesting Denzel Washington for playing in American Gangster…he just portraying a character…please forgive him but if he’s willing to wear BOOTLEG LV glasses aunthenticity is NOT one of his strong points!
“Especially when people are getting out of college and can’t find jobs, to know that a portion of my money is going to making this man rich, when there is a huge chance i could be out of work when i go finish school is crazy.”
How is this relevant to his appearance? How does your student fees reserve any type of job outside of school for you? Half the music/music videos for both rappers, rock, metal songs have lyrics/moments that society views as wrong. You need to learn to validate your argument just a little bit better.
