Love-Don’t-Live-Here-Anymore :: Kobe Bryant’s Wife, Vanessa, Files for Divorce

After 10 years of marriage, and two children (5 and 8), 33 year-old Kobe Bryant and his 29-year-old wife, Vanessa, have decided to end their marriage. Friday afternoon, the news was released. So who pulled the trigger? On Friday, Vanessa filed citing “irreconciliable differences.” The couple released a joint statement
“The Bryants have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a Judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012. We ask that in the interest of our young children and in light of the upcoming holiday season the public respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
And while this a tad bit sad, some of us wanna know, who gets what? The couple signed no prenup and it’s a strong possibility that Vanessa will receive half. She is also requesting spousal support, which Kobe has agreed to. In terms of their two daughters (Natalia and Gianna), Vanessa is seeking joint custody. In terms of why the couple is calling it quits? A source tells TMZ:
“She’s been dealing with these incidents for a long time and has been a faithful wife, but she’s finally had enough…This one is the straw that broke the camel’s back.”
