Marvin Winans to Preside Over Whitney Houston’s Funeral

New details surrounding Whitney Houston’s funeral continue to be released. This afternoon, we’ve learned that Marvin Winans will preside at Houston’s funeral in Newark. Houston was good friends with Marvin and his sister CeCe Winans.

Yesterday, CeCe, who continues to mourn over the death of her good friend, tweeted:
“I want God to be glorified through the passing of my friend and sister. She would want that! :-)”
Meanwhile, there is no word on if Marvin or any of his siblings will perform at the service, but he did share,
“Whatever Momma [Cissy] Houston wants, that’s what she’s going to get.”
The services are set for noon Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark and is a very private, invite-only service. No word on who has or will be invited. [Detroit Free Press]
