DMX’s Wife, Tashera Simmons, Dishes On: Why She Doesn’t Honor All X’s Kids, How He Hid His Cheating & Reality TV

Wednesday morning, Tashera Simmons, the estranged wife of DMX, visited The Breakfast Club, to discuss their involvement in VH1’s “Couple’s Therapy.”
On if she and DMX are still married:
Yes, 24 years. Yes, we are still legally married, but very much separated.
During the teaser, DMX emotionally yells that he NEVER wanted to be married. On her reaction:
That came as a shock to me. We were having a conversation; he said something I didn’t really appreciation….We’ve been married for over 10 years. He didn’t have no kids.
On the number of children that DMX has:
We have four children. He has 10. The only ones I honor are the two he had a blood test on.
On if she knew that DMX was cheating on her, while they were together:
While me and X were together, he hid it so well. I didn’t know until after. To be honest, what I don’t know, won’t hurt….He wasn’t protecting himself; he was playing with my life. We’ve been separated for six years. I didn’t even know….Everybody just came out the wood-works.
On if she’ll ever continue her marriage or relationship with DMX:
I got to move on though, don’t you think? He says, he knows he messed up the best thing he ever had.
On if he was the only man that she had ever been with:
No, he’s not the only man that I’ve been with. We met when we were 11 and then we got together when we were 18.
