Ray J: “I had NO Knowledge Whitney Was Using Again” + Patricia Houston Responds

Thursday afternoon, LA coroner, Craig Harvey, revealed that Whitney Houston died from accidental drowning in her Beverly Hills hotel bath tub. 48-year-old Whitney was also suffering from heart disease, and use of cocaine, marijuana, Xanax (for anxiety), Flexeril (for muscle pain), and Benadryl (for allergies) at the time of death. Although several drugs were found in her system, cocaine is the only one they are associating with the death, since only moderate levels of the other drugs were found in her body. Craig Harvey explained:

“The final cause of death has been established as drowning due to atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use. Other drugs were identified in toxicology, however their levels were at either a therapeutic or sub-therapeutic level. Therefore, they are not believed to be contributory to the death… There was water found in her lungs that indicated to us that she was alive when she was submerged underwater.”

No cocaine was found in the room, when investigators initially showed up to search, but sources are claiming that’s only because someone removed all of it before the investigators arrived. Further claims insist that the person who removed it all was the same person who provided it to Whitney. As a result of the missing details, police assert that the investigation on this case will continue.

Meanwhile, Ray J is adamant that he was NOT an enabler to Whitney’s drug addiction, nor was he aware that she was still using drugs. Ray J’s rep told TMZ that he had “no knowledge” that she was using again and asserts that he was nowhere near Whitney when she died, as he was in San Diego. But Whitney’s former sister-in-law, Leolah Brown, thinks otherwise. Peep what she said on Dr. Drew’s show.

In this clip, Leolah calls Ray-J a “Runner Boy”, while her sons share that they believe Whitney may have been murdered.

Houston’s sister-in-law and manager, Patricia Houston, has now issued a brief statement on the results on behalf of the family:

“We are saddened to learn of the toxicology results, although we are glad to now have closure.”
