Beyonce Pens Letter Remembering Robin Gibb

The past few weeks have been devastating to the music world. We’ve lost music pioneers like the ‘Godfather of Go-Go’ Chuck Brown, the ‘Queen of Disco’ Donna Summers and Bee Gees member Robin Gibb. Beyonce’ recently penned a message on her web site, recalling how during her Destiny’s Child days, the Bee Gees were an inspiration for one of the group’s songs. She wrote:

“The Bee Gees were an early inspiration for me, Kelly and Michelle. We loved their songwriting and beautiful harmonies. Recording their classic song “Emotion,” was a special time for Destiny’s Child. Sadly we lost Robin Gibb this week. My heart goes out to his brother Barry and the rest of his family.
