“Get Ready” :: Gloria Govan Confirms “Basketball Wives LA” Begins Filming

Despite the growing controversy surrounding the original Basketball Wives series, VH1 has granted Basketball Wives LA another season. On Wednesday, Gloria Govan (one of the cast members) tweeted that filming had begun for the second season.

Jackie Christie (another cast member) was the first of the wives to officially confirm her role on the show and although the names of the entire cast have not yet been released, in addition to Gloria and Jackie, Gloria’s older sister Laura is expected to return. Season one ended on a very dramatic note with all the women separating themselves from Jackie. Meanwhile, Gloria and her on again, off again fiancee’ Matt Barnes (LA Lakers) are expected to appear on the show as a couple although season one ended with their relationship in limbo.
