(EXCLUSIVE) 50 Cent Refuses to Release Boxer From Contract
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, 50 Cent’s (real name Curtis Jackson) boxing company is firing back at their star Yuriorkis Gamboa’s attempt to get a judge to void his contract, with the rapper/mogul blaming the fighter and his management for screwing up potential bouts and he wants the judge to NOT allow Gamboa out of his deal.
As previously reported, this year 50’s boxing company SMS Promotions filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy stating it had between $100k – $600k in debt — only 3 years after it launched strong by signing Gamboa and other champs James Kirkland and Andre Dirrell. According to court docs in the bankruptcy, SMS Promotions stated their liabilities over $2.3 million dollars and only $644,903 in assets.
